| Currently reading | Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison - I bought it for Mark for our anniversary, and thought I'd give it a go - he loved it. |
| Book before that | Something Might Happen, by Julie Myers. Absolutely brilliant - sparse and chilling and desperate. Before that I'd tried to reread the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and I really didn't get on that well with it. Sad. Although the news that Mos Def is going to play Ford Prefect in the film makes me think I might try again. And before that The Time Traveler's Wife - which was intriguing, but I felt rather limited in its portrayal of female sexuality, which bothered me a lot. |

| Last DVD/Video/TVO I watched | Slept through Raising Arizona in our Coen season - nice, it was funnier than I remembered, though; Swingers was so money, obviously, and I am planning to watch The Great Dictator having watched the first half hour which was brilliant. |

| Last concert I went to | Saw Optimo on Saturday night at the Tribeca Grand hotel, which was utterly brilliant. Going to buy their album, so I may actually buy some new music. |
| Work-status | None. I'm on holiday - hoooooooray! |
| New York | Snowing - sort of wet snow, not sure it'll last. Just the weather for washing. |
